Had a beautiful day today on Ward’s Island (in the Toronto Islands) celebrating Solstice a bit early. I love going there because the ferry ride is charming and the park spaces are beautiful. Also, I am totally envious of the close, tight-knit community who get to live in such a magical place!

Our group found a perfect seculded faery ring of trees on a little mound, with a fire pit in the middle. Being able to have a bonfire is a pretty rare treat for us urbanite witches, (unless its contained to a firepit in one of our coven member’s backyard), so it almost felt like we were camping for the afternoon. The entire event was very lovely, even if the fire ants decided that they wanted to crash our feasting/picnic, and I think I got a bit too much sun.

I am totally popped now, full of so much amazing food, and feeling so much appreciation for the transformative ritual and time spent with my incredible coven mates.

Love this lady. x
