longdeadkings: Your other follower may want to check out Wōden, there's lots of stuff about him. That's the full name for the God I think he's referring to. Blessed be.

as-if-its-easy: Hail, brother and well met (and other platitudes if you please) What do you know about wode? How is it made, primarily? Google search seems almost to have an objection to telling me anything at all : \
I’m afraid this is out of my expertise, but perhaps another follower of mine might know a bit more?

Anonymous: How do you feel about those who choose to make their own paths? I practice solitary, always have because I feel more comfortable that way. I mostly work with cleansing/healing rituals and meditating and the occasional Tarot read for myself. I don't do larger spells. Don't feel the need to, really. I've gotten some flack in the past though, being told that I wasn't enough of a witch. I was just wondering what your stance is on that.
Really? What a sack of shit. The person, I mean.
You cannot define a witch by any means. Hell, I’ve heard of witches that ONLY practice using trance work/meditation and make sigils. If you don’t feel the need to, then why would you? Don’t be bothered by some pesky “know-it-all” self-proclaimed witch. To me, your practice is simple and beautiful.

Anonymous: Can tears be used as a spell component?
Yes, of course. Just about anything can. I know people who have used menstrual blood, semen, and even urine.

family-of-wolves: HI! What do you think about crystal use in spells? are they an important part? or are they kinda meh? I have my own opinion, but I'd like to know yours. :)
I’m the kind of folk witch that likes to use A LOT of things in my spell workings, so yes they do have a role. For example, a self-love spell I did the other day I used amber and rose quartz in conjunction with herbs, a powder-made sigil, candles, oil, etc. I collect stones and minerals just as a hobby so of course I would use them in my religious practices. But in no way do I believe its a staple ingredient for any kind of spell, if the person does not feel the need.

prayerglyph: do you know of any decent films or books on maenads? ive been searching for some but havent found any just yet
Funny you should ask that, since I was just doing research on them. The only book I could really think of is Dionysus: Myth and Cult by Walter F. Otto. I’ve never read the book but know some people who follow Dionysus and swear by it. Whether they have info on Maenads, I really don’t know. Hope I helped a bit!
